The state of the blogosphere

I listened to the Blogsquad's radio program today, and here are my take-home messages: Ways to Blog and improve your blog:

Create an editorial social media calendar
January: Focus on z subject
Consider national holiday tie-in for media coverage

How to make time to blog:
Trade-off – decide what you’re not going to do anymore to blog
Identity your passion for why you’re doing this…
What is less important to this passion, that’s what goes

Identify your business goals. More conferences, more showcases? Then look at blog or podcast
If you want to support an ideal throughout the country, sounds like a community to me.

Having something unique to say is your investment. Don’t rehash it

Have conversations with peers to ask what they're doing. Support group to bounce ideas off of.

Social media is all about community and conversations. Have it as a foundational element in your business.

Line between business and social media will be blurred. Mind share is mind share, market share is market share.
